Antique Remuna Singing Bowl.  A3 (224Hz) Third Eye Chakra

Weight 1 lb 4 ½ oz (582 grams).  17.5 x 8 cm (approx. 6 ¾ x 3 ¼ inches)

A nice example of this uncommon and sought-after bowl form, with fine smooth evenly-forged walls and an excellent lip.  It has a superb rare third octave A fundamental (224Hz) when stuck or played around the rim with a suede ringer, but the rim note changes to Eb5 (628Hz) when a wooden ringer is used.  It has a decorative incised band below the outer rim and also around its middle.  It has a beautiful golden colour and is basically clean on the outside, but there is unfortunately a large surface stain across the inside floor.  It doesn’t impact on the sound and it might be possible for someone to remove it, but in the meantime I have reduced the price by 25% accordingly.  I have yet to come across a Remuna Singing Bowl that doesn’t impress with its ease of play and purity of sound…and this bowl is no exception.
