Antique Remuna Singing Bowl. F#3 (186Hz) Heart Chakra
Weight 1 lb 10 ¼ oz (746 grams). 17 x 10 cm (approx. 6 ¾ x 4 inches)
This is a rare antique Remuna singing bowl with an unusually high wall and an excellent third octave F# fundamental that is close to perfect pitch when struck with a padded mallet or played around the rim with a suede ringer. The rim gradually develops into a C5 with suede and will be a fifth octave C (535Hz) if played with a wooden ringer.
It has finely forged walls, a plain lip with a deep decorative incised band below the outer rim, and circles at its centre. This bowl is in good structural condition, clean and blemish free.
Virtually all Remuna bowls have lovely voices, and this is no exception. A Tibetan silk brocade bowl cushion and a ringer are included in the price.
Listen: (3 struck notes and 2 played notes, suede ringer then wood)
