Rare Antique Singing Bowl – Unique Form & Superb Condition

Antique Singing Bowl.   Note E4 & C6 (Solar Plexus & Root Chakras)

This highly unusual antique singing bowl with its downward sloping grooved lip, scooped collar and pronounced banded shoulder has been expertly forged, and its quality is second to none. The condition of this bowl is superb. It is free of blemishes and stains, and the concentric circles at its centre, the incised decorative bands below the inner rim and around the lip and shoulder, are all well defined.

The fundamental note is a middle E (326Hz) when struck with a padded mallet, while the rim note gradually builds to an excellent piercing high sixth octave C (1042Hz) when played with a wooden ringer. A Tibetan silk brocade bowl cushion and a double-ended teak and suede ringer are included in the price.

This antique singing bowl has an extremely interesting and unusual form, and is in exceptional museum quality condition.
