Antique Bell-Shaped Singing Bowl.  D4 (295Hz) Sacral Chakra

Weight 1 lb 10 ¼ oz (743 grams).  15.5 x 7.5 cm (6 x 3 ½ inches) 

This rare bell-shaped singing bowl is believed to date from the 18th century, and looks and feels every bit its age.  There are decorative circles at its centre, and incised bands below the inner rim and at intervals around its outer wall, where there are also ritual gashes.

The fundamental note is a middle D (295Hz) when struck, while the rim note is a fifth octave A (881Hz).

An interesting and characterful antique singing bowl with evidence of long use but structurally sound!
