Huge Jambati Singing BowlThis is an exceptional and outstanding antique Jambati singing bowl of the highest quality…the result of an ongoing bowl search for the most magnificent, majestic and musical of singing bowls from the Himalayas.  This stunning full-bodied old Jambati ticks all the boxes…great quality, good looks, excellent condition and, above all, a wonderful voice.  This is a really huge bowl with a diameter of nearly 14 inches and weighing almost 9 pounds.

 

The fundamental struck note is a fantastic and low second octave F, while the rim note is the same F2 accompanied by several subtle harmonic overtones each of which can be teased out with a little practice and brought to the fore.

 

I cannot speak more highly of this singing bowl which will be of particular interest to the serious collector or specialist practitioner.

 

A heavy padded striker (illustrated), a large teak and suede ringer, and a brocade bowl cushion are included in the price.
