Rare Large 9” Antique Lingam Singing Bowl – Bb3 Note

Antique Lingam Singing Bowl – Bb3 (Crown Chakra)

Weight 1.45 kilos (3 lb 3 ¼ oz): Size 23 x 10 cm (9 x 4 inches)

This is a rare and unusually large antique Lingam Singing Bowl with a gently curved wall and a boldly grooved triangulated lip.  It has a symmetrical pointed lingam surrounded and defined by circles at its centre, and a deep matching navel or yoni underneath.  Bands of incised lines form a decorative collar around the outer rim.

The fundamental note is a rather lovely third octave Bb3 (230-231Hz) when struck with a padded mallet or played around the rim with a suede ringer.

This attractive older and well crafted antique Lingam is in excellent structural condition, clean and stain-free.

A Tibetan silk brocade bowl cushion and a double ended teak and suede ringer are included in the price.
