Rare Large & Heavy Antique Mani Singing Bowl – Perfect Pitch F#5 (740Hz)

This is a huge and excellent example of an Antique Mani Singing bowl with a rare perfect pitch fifth octave F# (740Hz) and a strong beat when struck or played.  The struck note is particularly powerful and penetrating.

It has all the typical characteristics of this ancient bowl form…flat bottom, bulbous tapering walls, wide inward-facing grooved lip, circles at its centre including an ‘eye’, and decorative bands around the outer rim and its belly.  This is a very old bowl and some of its decorative features have been worn away with the passage of time.  It is clean and structurally sound despite a very small but stable crack on its floor that has no impact on its sound.

This is an exceptionally large and heavy Mani bowl with a really excellent and rare concert pitch voice.  Antique Mani bowls are generally thought to be between 200 and 400 years old and are now extremely rare.
