Antique Mani Singing Bowl. D5 (575Hz) Sacral Chakra

This rare large Antique Mani Singing bowl has a fabulous fifth octave D (575Hz) fundamental. The note is the same whether struck or played around the rim. It’s a very responsive bowl and easy to play. The rim note will sing with a suede ringer as well as a wooden one, which is very unusual for a Mani bowl.
It has all the typical characteristics of this ancient bowl form…flat bottom, bulbous tapering walls, wide inward-facing grooved lip, circles at its centre, and decorative banding below the outer rim and around its belly.
Antique Mani bowls are generally thought to be between 200 and 400 years old and are now very rare. I believe this excellent example to be older than many. It is structurally sound and stain free and has the rich patina of use and antiquity.
A Tibetan silk brocade bowl cushion and a double-ended teak and suede ringer are included in the price.
