This set of antique Tibetan Tingsha is unusually large and exceptionally heavy. It has been cast in a bronze alloy and is the original matched pair.
The note is a sixth octave F6 (1418Hz) with subtle C#7 harmonic overtones. This set is supplied uncleaned as found. It has a fabulous aged patina and the look and feel of antiquity.
It would benefit from restringing in leather.
Tingsha are pairs of small cymbals used in Tibetan Buddhist prayers and rituals. They are sometimes used in meditation practices to help focus the mind. Antique sets are now quite rare and sought-after.
