This is a rare large and extremely shallow antique singing bowl of a type associated with shamanic work, and suitable for mandalas, medicinal preparations, ceremonial occasions or rituals.
The fundamental note is an interesting third octave C# (140Hz) when struck with a padded mallet or played around the rim with a suede ringer. The rim note changes to a good G4 (400Hz) with a wooden one.
This antique shaman bowl is likely to appeal to practitioners and collectors alike. It looks and feels like the the sacred object it is.
A Tibetan silk brocade bowl cushion a padded striker and a ringer are all included in the price .
