This rare medium size Antique Mani Singing bowl has a powerful fifth octave E (65Hz) fundamental.  The note is the same whether struck or played around the rim.  It’s a very responsive bowl and easy to play.

It has all the typical characteristics of this ancient bowl form…flat bottom, bulbous tapering walls, wide inward-facing lip.  This is a very old bowl and the circles at its centre, and decorative banding below the outer rim and around its belly have been virtually worn away with use over the passage of time.   

Antique Mani bowls are generally thought to be between 200 and 400 years old and are now very rare.  This old Mani is structurally sound, and has a mustard bronze colour and the rich patina of antiquity.

A Tibetan silk brocade bowl cushion and a ringer are included in the price.
