Rare Pot-Shaped Antique Lingam Bowl – F#4 (371Hz) Concert Pitch

A fabulous and rare pot-shaped antique Lingam Singing Bowl with a flanged rim, a faintly grooved lip, and a very pretty centrally placed pointed lingam surrounded by two sets of concentric circles.  A pair of finely incised decorative bands encircles the outer wall, and underneath there is a neat and well-defined navel.  This is only the second pot-shaped Lingam bowl of this type I have come across.

The fundamental note is a near perfect concert pitch forth octave F# (371 Hz) when struck with a padded mallet.  The played note, also F#4, ranges from 371 Hz to 378 Hz depending upon the wooden ringer used.

This unusual bowl is in excellent condition, and is free of stains and blemishes.  A brocade bowl cushion and a ringer are included in the price.
