Rare Pot-Shaped Antique Singing Bowl – G4 (382/3Hz)

This rare antique singing bowl has an interesting and unusual pot-shaped form with its high wall and out-turned flat grooved lip and bulbous belly.  There are several decorative circles on the inside floor, and some incised banding below the outer rim and at the widest point around the belly.  It is structurally sound and in good condition.

The shape of this bowl makes it slightly self-amplifying and the fundamental note is an interesting mid octave G (382/3Hz).  The note is the same whether struck with a padded mallet or played around the rim with a ringer.
