Antique Lingam Singing Bowl. Note: Bb4 (Crown Chakra)
Weight 442 grams (0 lb 15 ½ oz). Size 13 x 6.5 cm (5 x 2 ½ inches)
This is a rare small antique Lingam Singing Bowl circa 1800 in excellent structural condition. It has well crafted walls, a neat lingam at its centre surrounded by circles, and a matching yoni or navel underneath. It has a sheered lip and a decorative band of tiny dots encircling the outer rim.
The fundamental note is a forth octave Bb4 (468Hz) that is close to concert pitch when struck with a mallet or played around the rim with a ringer.
A lovely old bowl is supplied in its ‘as found’ condition and has a very beautiful aged patina and colour.
A Tibetan silk brocade bowl cushion, and a double-ended teak and suede ringer are included in the price.
