This rare bell-like singing bowl is believed to date from the 18th century, and looks and feels every bit its age.  There are decorative circles at its centre, and incised bands below the inner rim and at intervals around its outer wall.  There is evidence of long use but this interesting small bowl remains structurally sound.

The fundamental struck note is a middle C (269Hz) when struck, while the played rim note is a fifth octave F (702Hz) with a wooden ringer.

A Tibetan silk brocade bowl cushion and a ringer are included in the price.
