Antique Ultabati Singing Bowl. Note: G#2 (Throat Chakra)
Weight 533 grams (1 lb 3 oz). Size 19.5 x 8.5 cm (7 3/4 x 3 1/4 inches)
This is a rare small antique Ultabati Singing Bowl with lots of vibrant energy and an exceptionally low perfect pitch second octave G#2 (103Hz) voice when struck with a padded mallet or played around the rim with a suede ringer. It is also capable of producing the vibrant OM sound.
Most second octave bowls are very large and heavy, and tiring to hold and play, whereas this lovely little bowl is light as a feather!
This bowl has very finely hammered walls, a sheered lip, and a single decorative band forming a collar around its scooped shoulder. This is an old bowl and the circles at its centre have been worn away with the passage of time. It is structurally sound and free of stains and blemishes, and has a particularly lovely golden bronze colour inside and out.
A Tibetan silk brocade bowl cushion and a double-ended teak and suede ringer is included included in the price.
Listen: ( 3 struck notes and 1 played note with suede ringer).
