Rare Quartz Crystal & Silver Shaman’s Guru Phurba

This rare hand-carved quartz crystal shaman’s phurba or ritual dagger from Nepal features a praying guru, or perhaps portrays the shaman himself, wearing a mala.  

The shaman guru sits cross-legged atop a dorje hilt with an animal Makara and endless knot, beneath which is a 3-sided blade.  Two of its facets are carved with nagas, while the third bears a trident.  The tip of the blade has been wrapped in a sheet of real silver to protect the point during use.
