An extraordinary singing bowl with a unique voice!  This unusual bowl with its slightly bulbous low profile, out-turned lip and wide-open mouth, has a rather haunting tone…a mid octave fundamental C that is best as a struck note, although it can also be played around the rim with a ringer.

 

The condition of this old bowl is good, but it has been kept in its ‘as found’ condition and has a generally dull matt golden appearance both inside and out.  It would probably clean up nicely but we have left well alone.  This is a very rare form for a singing bowl and it would add interest to any collection. A double-ended teak and suede ringer is included in the price.
