Rare Unusual Shape Tibetan Singing Bowl

Unusual Antique Singing Bowl. B & A Notes (Crown & Third Eye Chakras)
Weight 2 lb 9 ¼ oz (1.17 kilos). 22 ½ x 8 cm (approx. 8 ¾ x 3 ¾ inches)
An extraordinary singing bowl with a unique voice! This unusual bowl with very low profile, out-turned lip and wide-open mouth, has two distinct fundamental notes depending upon the type of striker used. A soft padded striker produces a clear third octave B flat, while a harder suede-wrapped striker produces a third octave A note…and if both strikers are used both notes sound together. The B flat is dominant if played around the rim with a wooden ringer.
This is a substantial and heavy bowl with thick walls and a flat bottom, a very pretty grooved lip, and a clean golden interior with several decorative circles at its centre. This is a very rare and unusual form for a singing bowl, and it would add interest to any collection. A double-ended teak and suede ringer is included in the price.
