Remuna Singing Bowl – B3 Concert Pitch, Fountains, Inscription

Antique Remuna Singing Bowl. B3 Note (Crown Chakra)
Weight 1 lb 8 oz. (678g). 18 x 8.5 cm (approx. 7 x 3 ¼ inches)
This is a very nice example of an antique Remuna singing bowl. It’s a little heavier than average for this type of bowl but it has all the characteristics associated with the Remuna form…including a very responsive, distinctive, and pure singing voice. The fundamental note is a beautiful third octave B that is virtually concert pitch (B notes are now relatively rare among singing bowls, and concert pitch bowls are always in demand). The struck note and the rim note are the same.
This versatile bowl will also readily produce excellent fountains and even has some talking ability with a little water inside.
This old Remuna bowl has seen a lot of use in its lifetime…its walls have been worn smooth and the original decorative detail (incised lines outside and circles inside) are now barely visible. However, the bowl remains structurally sound, pleasant to look at and to hold and play, and is generally in very nice condition for its age.
This bowl has an exceptionally pure voice. It has the look and feel of age, and also benefits from an excellent dot-punched inscription.
