Remuna Singing Bowl – G Sharp 3 Note & Inscription
SOLD
Antique Remuna Singing Bowl. G Note (Throat Chakra)
Weight 1 lb 6 ¾ oz (647g). 17 x 8.5 cm (approx. 6 ¾ x 3 ¼ inches)
This old Remuna Singing Bowl has a rather unique sound…a mysterious and haunting third octave G sharp that’s accompanied by at least two harmonic overtones when played around the rim. As the sound builds the G sharp sweeps the other notes aside to become pure, piercing and powerful…and finishes with a lingering sustain long after the ringer is lifted from the bowl. This bowl, with a little water inside, will make good fountains. It also has some talking ability.
This is a characterful Remuna bowl that’s seen a lot of use over the years but is still structurally sound and pleasing to look at. It has a fine grooved lip, a decorative band below the rim and around the middle of its belly, and some boldly incised circles at its centre. It also benefits from a small inscription.
A double-ended teak and suede ringer is included in the price.
