Antique Remuna Singing and Talking Bowl. F3 Note (Heart Chakra)
Weight 1 lb 3 ½ oz (549g). 17 x 8.5 cm (approx. 6 ¾ x 3 ½ inches)
This is a relatively light fine-walled Remuna Singing Bowl with a low third octave F fundamental note that is very close to concert pitch when struck or played around the rim. It is very responsive and easy to play. With a little water inside it also has quite a strong talking voice if the bowl is struck and rocked while tipped on its side.
This is a clean bowl that’s in good shape despite showing signs of long-term use (the decorative elements now being faint). It also benefits from a small inscription high up on the outer wall.
A teak and suede ringer is included in the price.
Listen: (2 struck notes and 1 played note)
Note: There is a tiny nick on the lip (see photo) that appears to have no discernable impact on the quality of sound. However, I have reduced the price of this bowl to take this cosmetic issue into account.
