This is a small and characterful antique Lingam Singing Bowl with a powerful pulsating voice that flickers between a forth octave B and a fifth octave C. 

This is because its pitch sings at a frequency of 508Hz, which is EXACTLY midway between B4 (493.9Hz) and C5 (523.3Hz).  It’s an exceptionally responsive bowl and both the struck and rim notes are very nice.  It’s also very pleasing to hold and fits snugly into the palm of the hand.

This high-sided little bowl has relatively thick walls with an even lip, and a small flat bottom.  There is a nice lingam at its centre and a neat navel underneath.  It is structurally sound and has an attractive antique gold colour with some surface patina acquired over time.   A ringer is included in the price.
