This is a fabulous little antique Mani singing bowl with a powerful and high sixth octave C# voice.  It’s extremely responsive and easy to play, and it has the pronounced beat or pulse that is unique to all good Mani bowls.

 

Antique Mani bowls are generally thought to be between 200 and 400 years old and are now very rare. 

 

This ancient little bowl is in excellent structural condition, clean on the outside but with some stains inside.  It’s heavy for its size and has all the characteristics and decorative features common to virtually all bowls of this type…flat bottom, bulbous belly, inward-facing grooved lip, incised bands outside and concentric circles inside.  A wooden ringer is included in the price.
