This is a small fine-walled antique Manipuri Singing Bowl that benefits from a nice dot-punched inscription on the outer wall…something of a rarity, especially on a small bowl.

 

The fundamental note is a middle C# (272Hz) when struck, and a fifth octave F# (751Hz) when  played around the rim.

 

This has a decorative circle of suns (punched dots surrounded by circles) at its centre and around the edge of the lip.  Although showing signs of wear it is in good clean structural condition.
