This small antique Thadobati singing bowl is exceptionally thick and heavy for its size. It has a an attractive and slightly bulbous shape and is generously decorated with incised bands below the rim and around its middle. It has a thick grooved lip and some bold concentric circles at its centre. It is structurally sound and has a nice golden bronze colour.
This is a responsive bowl with a good fifth octave G# voice when struck or played around the rim with a wooden ringer.
A Tibetan silk brocade bowl cushion and double-ended teak and suede ringer are included in the price.
