Weight 582 grams (1 lb 4 ½ oz). Size 213 x 7 cm (5 x 2 ¾ inches)
This small antique Thadobati Singing Bowl would have been difficult to forge due to its exceptionally thick wall, which also accounts for its heavy weight relative to its size. It has a grooved lip and faint circles at its centre.
The fundamental note is a fifth octave Eb5 (637Hz) when struck with a padded mallet or played around the rim with a ringer.
This charming 19th century singing bowl has a bright golden bronze colour and is structurally sound, clean and free of blemishes.
A Tibetan silk brocade bowl cushion and a double-ended teak and suede ringer are included in the price.
