Small Thick-walled Tibetan Lingam Singing Bowl – D5 Note
SOLD
Antique Tibetan Lingam Singing Bowl. D5 (Sacral Chakra)
Weight 1 lb 10 ¼ oz. (745g). 14 x 6.6 cm (approx. 5 ½ x 2 ½ inches)
This is a rare small antique Lingam Singing Bowl with a particularly nice D5 voice when struck or played around the rim with a wooden ringer. It’s a responsive bowl that is an ideal size for holding and playing.
This is a quality bowl that looks as good as it sounds.
It is exceptionally thick and heavy for its small size. It has a smooth surface inside and out, and it has a lovely antique gold colour. It has a thick flat and grooved rim, and a decorative band of small gashes at the top of the outer wall.
Inside there is a superb central lingam surrounded by two sets of concentric circles, and there is an excellent navel on the underside.
A rare and rather special little Lingam bowl that will appeal to a collector!
A Tibetan silk brocade bowl cushion and a teak and suede ringer are included in the price.
