Unusual Antique Singing Bowl. Eb5 (Solar Plexus Chakra)
Weight 1 lb 0 ¼ oz. (458g). 13.5 x 5.5 cm (approx. 5 ¼ x 2 ¼ inches)
This interesting little antique Tibetan Singing Bowl has a thick low profile body, a flat bottom, and a wide outward facing lip. There are several incised circles radiating out from the centre of the bowl, and the lip is nicely grooved. Below the rim the outside of the bowl is plain.
This is a nice quality 19th century singing bowl that is structurally sound and virtually free of stains and blemishes.
The fundamental note is a good fifth octave Eb whether struck or played around the rim.
A small Tibetan brocade bowl cushion and a teak and suede ringer are included in the price.
