This large antique Jambati Singing Bowl is both physically and sonically exceptional, and one would be hard pressed to find a better example of this bowl form. 

It’s quite a heavy bowl, and has a relatively low profile for a Jambati.  It has been superbly forged with finely hammered walls of an even thickness.  The wide lip is boldly grooved.  There are well-defined circles at its centre, and the deeply incised decorative bands encircling the rim and around the belly are special features.

The fundamental note is a fabulous and pure perfect pitch third octave G (196Hz) when struck or played around the rim.

This lovely bowl is in fabulous condition for its age; free of stains and blemishes, and it has a lovely golden bronze colour.
