Superb Large 9¼-inch Antique Lingam Singing Bowl – A3 (218Hz)

Antique Lingam Singing Bowl.   A3 and Eb5 (Third Eye & Solar Plexus Chakras)

This is a rare and beautiful old Lingam Singing Bowl (circa 1800) in good condition, clean and stain-free, but with some minor surface blemishes and interior patina commensurate with its age. 

It’s a large and heavy bowl with an attractive curved wall.  There is a particularly nice pointed lingam at its centre, a deep navel underneath, and a flat lip. 

Both the struck and the played rim notes are fabulous, with the characteristic lingam sound.  The A3 fundamental has a very long sustain and is close to perfect concert pitch.  But there is also a very beautiful and subtle fifth octave harmonic that can be brought out when playing around the rim, particularly with a wooden ringer.    A bowl cushion, striker and ringer are included in the price.
