Superb Rare SET OF 8 LARGE Antique Naga Singing and Healing Bowls – 6 Inscribed

Antique Naga Singing Bowl Set of 8.   B3/C4/C#4/D4/Eb4/E4/F4/F#4

Average Weight 1 kilo (2 lb 2 oz).  Average Diameter 13.25 cm (6 ¾   inches)

This is a very rare set of 8 large antique Naga Singing and Healing Bowls…3 are Concert Pitch, 1 is close, and 6 have inscriptions, 5 of which include animals.  The set has been carefully matched for size, weight, condition and ease of play.  Their struck notes and rim notes are respectively the same when played with a suede ringer, but second harmonics are possible if a wooden ringer is employed.

With the exception of the B3 all the bowls are middle (4th) octave as follows:

• Concert Pitch B3 (241Hz) 0.93 kilos, 6 ¾   inches, inscription
• Concert Pitch C4 (262Hz) 0.94 kilos, 6 ¾   inches, inscription with fishes
• C#4 (269-273Hz) 1 kilo, 6 ¾   inches, inscription with fishes
• Concert Pitch D (293Hz), 6 ½  inches
• Eb4 (318Hz) 0.93 kilos, 6 ¼  inches, inscription with fishes
• Close Concert Pitch E4 (328Hz), 1 kilo, 6 ¾   inches
• F4 (347Hz) 1.09 kilos, 7 inches, inscription with peacocks
• F#4 (362Hz) 1.44 kilos, 7 ½  inches, inscription

They are all in excellent structural condition and virtually free of stains.  An assortment of strikers and ringers will be included in the price.

Large antique Naga Singing Bowls, indeed all pedestal bowls large and small, are now extremely hard to come by, especially in this fine quality.  I have collected them for over 30 years and this is the first time that I have been able to assemble such a superb matched set of large bowls.
