Weight 0 lb 16 ¾ oz. (448 grams). Size 14 x 3.5 cm (5 ½ x 1 ¾ inches)
This is a fabulous small antique Lingam bowl with two excellent voices…a G#4 (416Hz) that is virtually concert pitch when struck, and a powerful pulsating D6 (1179-1182Hz) when played around the rim with a wooden ringer.
This superb bowl has a very rare shallow form with thick walls, a grooved lip, and a central button lingam surrounded by two sets of circles. It has a flat bottom without a navel, and two decorative lines encircle the outer rim. The outer hammered surface contrasts beautifully with the smooth polished interior.
This lovely bowl is in excellent structural condition, and comes highly recommened. The price includes a Tibetan silk brocade bowl cushion and a ringer.
