Antique Jambati Singing Bowl – A2 – Third Eye Chakra
Weight 2.93 kilos (6 lb 7 oz) 12¼ x 6 inches (32 x 15.5 cm)
This is a huge and fabulous antique Jambati Singing Bowl with a glorious low and perfect pitch A2 voice with a long sustain. The struck note and the rim note are the same beautiful second octave A when a padded striker or suede ringer are employed, but the rim note changes to a lovely middle E (327Hz) if a wooden ringer is used. It ranks among the best sounding Jambati bowls I’ve come across in more than 25 years of collecting! This bowl is also capable of producing vibrant fountains if played with a little water inside.
This is a superior quality bowl in every respect…beautifully forged and in an excellent state of preservation, clean and free of blemishes. It has a deep full-bodied profile, a level lip, and typical decorative incised bands below the rim. There are two concentric circles on the inside floor. The external wall is attractively and lightly mottled with hammer marks that reflect the light, and it has a really gorgeous golden bronze interior. A large padded striker and a heavy suede ringer are included in the price.
Great looks, huge size, perfect pitch…this Jambati bowl is as good as they come!
Listen: (3 struck notes and 1 played note)
Note: As this is an unusually heavy bowl there will be a surcharge to cover the additional cost of shipping and insurance to destinations outside the UK. Overseas buyers will later be invoiced at cost for any shipping and insurance shortfall (estimated to be around $100 to USA and Canada).
