This is a large and very handsome top quality full-bodied antique Jambati Singing Bowl in superb condition.  At almost 2 kilos this is a heavy bowl with strong thick and regular walls and the most beautiful hammer markings inside and out.  Although there are signs of use it is exceptionally clean and blemish-free and has clearly been cared for.

This bowl has an excellent singing voice and some fountain abilities too.  The fundamental struck note and the played rim note (with a suede ringer) are the same lovely low third octave E…but if a wooden ringer is used the rim note becomes a mid octave B.  The struck fundamental is particularly nice and has a strong pulse and sustain.
