Tibetan Lingam Singing Bowl – Finely Decorated
SOLD
Small Antique Lingam Singing Bowl. G Note (Throat Chakra)
Weight 10 oz (279g). 12 ¼ x 6 cm (approx. 5 x 2 ¼ inches)
This is a very small antique Tibetan Lingam Singing Bowl with a powerful voice for its size…a mid octave G whether struck with a padded mallet or played around the rim.
It’s a high-sided bowl, a little dirty, but otherwise in a good state of preservation. This is a nice quality Lingam that has been expertly and generously decorated both inside and out…including a grooved lip, banding around the outer wall and high up on the inner, and concentric circles surrounding the lingam on the inside floor. The lingam itself takes the form of a slightly pointed and raised mound, matched by a navel depression underneath the bowl.
A small double-sided teak and suede ringer is included in the price.
