Tibetan Thadobati Singing Bowl – Bb3 Note
SOLD
Antique Thadobati Singing Bowl. B Note (Crown Chakra)
Weight 1 lb 9 ¼ oz (713g). 17 x 9 cm (approx. 6 ¾ x 3 ½ inches)
This medium-size antique Thadobati Singing Bowl has a rather gracefully curved form and nice antique gold colouring. It is clean and structurally sound though the walls are a little bruised as one can see in the photographs, but this just adds character in my opinion, and it’s part of this old bowl’s life story. It has a fine even lip and there is a decorative band of dots just below the outer rim.
The fundamental struck note is a low third octave B flat. It sings the same note when played around the rim with a suede ringer, but this changes to a high fifth octave E if a wooden one is used.
A double-ended teak and suede striker/ringer is included in the price.
