This is a small 19th century cup-shaped antique Lingam Singing Bowl with a middle A  (448Hz) fundamental when struck or played around the rim.  It fits nicely into the palm of the hand and is easy to play with a wooden ringer.

There is a neat nipple-like lingam at its centre matched by a pretty navel underneath.  It has a decorative pattern of fine cuts bordering the outer rim, with a few ritual digs here and there.

This attractive little antique lingam is in excellent condition and has the patina and feel of long use.  It would make a perfect first Lingam bowl for someone building a collection on a modest budget.

A Tibetan silk brocade bowl cushion and a ringer are included in the price.
