This tiny antique Naga singing and healing bowl has a very uncommon hipped shape.  It is one of two very similar bowls from the same Nepalese source, so there is therefore a distinct possibility that they originated from the same forge.  This one is slightly smaller than the other.

 

The fundamental note is a powerful and penetrating sixth octave G#.

 

This bowl is structurally sound and in superb condition externally, but has some mild mottled discoloration inside, possibly caused by candle wax.  This very slight cosmetic issue has no impact on the general appearance or the sound of the bowl, but I have reduced the price nonetheless.

 

An interesting little bowl!
