This small antique singing bowl has a particularly pleasing and unusual form with its flange lip, curved wall with decorative bands, and flat bottom.   

 

 

It rests comfortably on the palm of the hand and is responsive and easy to play.  The fundamental note is a middle E (328Hz) when struck with a padded mallet or played around the rim.

 

It is in good structural condition.  It has a lovely aged patina and bronze colour, and the look and feel of great antiquity.

 

A Tibetan silk brocade bowl cushion and a double-ended teak and suede ringer are included in the price.
