This is an unusual slightly conical flange-lipped antique singing bowl with well-defined concentric circles inside and multiple incised bands decorating the entire outer wall.  The fundamental note is a good middle F# when struck with a padded mallet or played around the rim with a suede ringer.  This unusual bowl is heavy for its size.  It is believed to date from the 19th century and is in excellent structural and clean condition.
