This large and versatile antique Jambati Singing and Fountain Bowl has a lovely low second octave F#/G fundamental (95Hz sits exactly midway between the two notes) when struck with a padded mallet or played around the rim with a suede ringer. Its vibrant energy will produce the sought-after OM sound if desired, and it is also capable of creating excellent fountains if played with a little water inside.   The stuck note is particularly beautiful.

This is a premium quality bowl with fine hand-beaten walls that have become sensually smooth with long use and ritual cleaning.  It has a narrow triangulated lip, circles at the centre and decorative bands around the outer rim. 

The structural condition of this bowl is very good for its age, and it is clean and stain-free, with just a hint of its life history in evidence.  It has a rich golden bronze colour.
