Weight 4 lb 15 oz (2.24 kilos).   18 cm (rim diameter) x 10.5 cm (approx. 7 x 4 ¼ inches)

This is an unusually large and heavy antique Mani or Charma singing bowl in an excellent state of preservation.  It has a fabulous wide and grooved lip, and wonderfully bold decorative banding below the rim and around the belly.

The inside floor features a series of boldly-incised concentric circles radiating from the centre.  This Mani bowl is in very good structural condition for its age (200 – 400 years) and has the look and feel of antiquity.

This bowl is responsive and easy to play and has an excellent singing voice…a fifth octave F# with a powerful beat.  A fabulous example of this rare singing bowl form!

A double-ended teak and suede striker/ringer is included in the price.
