Jambati Singing Bowl. Notes A2 & E4 (Third Eye & Solar Plexus Chakras)
Weight 2.14 kilos (4 lb 11 ¼ oz). Size 27 x 12 cm (10 ¾ x 4 ¾ inches)
This fine-walled medium-size antique Jambati Singing Bowl has lots of vibrant energy and a fabulous low perfect pitch fundamental…a rare E2 (110Hz) when struck with a padded mallet or played around the rim. It is also capable of producing the vibrant OM sound, and fountains if played with a little water inside.
This well-crafted 19th Century bowl has a rounded bottom, finely hammered even walls and a sheared lip. Decoration is limited to a pair of faint circles at its centre.
The condition of this antique Jambati Singing Bowl is very nice, with the outside wall being particularly attractive. There are some patches of copper oxidization inside.
An attractive bowl with a rare perfect pitch E2 fundamental, an unusually low note more commonly found on much larger and heavier bowls.
A Tibetan silk brocade bowl cushion, padded striker, and teak and suede ringer are all included in the price.
