Antique Remuna Singing Bowl. Notes G#3 & D5 (Throat & Sacral Chakras)
Weight 791 grams (1 lb 12 oz). Size 17 x 9 (6 ¾ x 3 ½ inches)
This 19th century Remuna Singing Bowl has unusually thin walls for this bowl type, making it relatively light for its size. It has a sheered lip, two sets of circles inside, and decorative bands forming a collar around the rim.
It has a beautiful third octave G#3 (213Hz) fundamental when struck with a padded mallet or played around the rim with a suede ringer, and a fifth octave D5 to Eb5 (606-608Hz) when played with a wooden ringer.
Remuna bowls are renowned for their beautiful voices and ease of play, and this bowl is no exception.
It is in good structural condition, clean and stain-free, with an aged patina.
A Tibetan silk brocade bowl cushion and a double-ended teak and suede ringer are included in the price.
