Antique Thadobati Singing Bowl – G3 (195Hz)

This antique Thadobati Singing Bowl has a very nice third octave G fundamental (195Hz) that is very close to concert pitch when struck with a padded mallet or played around the rim with a suede ringer. The rim note changes to an excellent fifth octave C# (563Hz) with a suede or wooden ringer. It is a very responsive bowl and easy to play.

It has a gracefully curved wall and a grooved lip, together with a variety of decorative features including a circles at the centre, and around its belly, as well as a pretty dotted design encircling the outer rim.

This bowl, with its smooth surface, is a pleasure to hold and play. It is structurally sound and virtually free of stains and blemishes.

A Tibetan silk brocade cushion and a ringer are included in the price.
