Golden Antique Lingam Singing Bowl – F3 – Inscribed
£780.00
Antique Lingam Singing Bowl. Notes: F3 & B5 (Heart & Crown Chakras)
Weight: 1.06 kilos (2 lb 5 oz). Size: 19.5 x 9.5 cm ( 7 ¾ x 3 ¾ inches)
This is a nice quality antique Lingam Singing Bowl with a gracefully curved wall, sheered lip, and rounded bottom. There is an excellent large lingam surrounded and defined by two sets of circles at its centre, with a deep navel or yoni underneath.
This is a very old bowl with walls worn sensually smooth through years of handling and use, and any decorative features it may once have possessed are long gone.
It benefits from an inscription on the outer wall, a sure sign of the high esteem in which this bowl was held by a former keeper.
This bowl has a really lovely third octave fundamental (178/9Hz) when struck with a padded mallet or played around the rim with a suede ringer. The rim note changes to a penetrating fifth octave B5 (971Hz) harmonic when played with a wooden ringer.
A well proportioned antique singing bowl in good structural condition, clean and stain-free, and with an attractive bright golden bronze colour.
A double-ended teak and suede ringer is included in the price.
