Lovely 9 ” Antique Jambati Singing Bowl – Variable F4/B3 Fundamental

This Antique Jambati Singing Bowl (circa 1800) has very fine and even hand-beaten walls that make it relatively light for its size and comfortable to hold and play for an extended period.  It has a plain sheered lip and faint circles at its centre, but any other decorative features it might once have possessed have been worn away with use over its lifetime.

The fundamental note varies from middle F (357Hz) to a third octave B (242Hz) depending where on the wall it is struck, but the rim note is consistently B3.

This older antique Jambati singing bowl is in excellent and clean structural condition, with a lovely bright golden bronze colour.

A Tibetan silk brocade bowl cushion, a padded striker and a ringer are all included in the price.
