Lovely 9-inch Antique Golden Jambati Singing Bowl – 2 Perfect Pitches – Long Sustain!

This beautiful antique Jambati Singing Bowl almost certainly comes from the same foundry as the stunning and rare Golden Lingams in my collection. It is stylistically very similar, minus the lingam and yoni, and has exactly the same polished surface and wonderful golden bronze colour.
It has been superbly crafted and is relatively heavy for its size. It has a sheered lip and a smooth polished wall. Like the Golden Lingams it is undecorated save a line encircling the inner rim that is thought to result from the metal being folded over to level and strengthen the rim during the forging process.
The fundamental note is a lovely perfect pitch third octave D3 (146/7Hz) when stuck with a padded mallet or played around the rim with a suede ringer. The rim note changes to a perfect pitch fifth octave G#5 (829Hz) with a wooden ringer.
This bowl is very responsive and easy to play, and has exceptionally long sustains.
This beautiful Golden Jambati bowl is in superb structural condition, clean and stain-free except for a light splattering of guano inside from a bird, probably a domestic chicken, perched on the rim.
The rich golden colour of this Jambati bowl is incredibly beautiful.
