Rare Heavy Large Golden Antique Lingam Singing Bowl – Glorious A3 – Inscribed

This is a rare large and heavy high-walled antique Lingam Singing Bowl with a thick grooved lip and a particularly large lingam at its centre and deep navel or yoni underneath.  The central lingam is surrounded by concentric circles, and there are 2 bands of decorative cuts encircling the rim.  This fabulousl antique bowl also benefits from an inscription; a sure sign of the high esteem in which it was held by a previous keeper.

The fundamental note is a glorious and uncommon third octave A (222Hz) when struck with a padded mallet or played around the rim with a suede ringer. The rim note changes to a nice 5^thoctave Eb (636Hz) with a wooden ringer.

The structural condition of this fabulous large and highly collectable antique Lingam bowl is excellent.  It has a wonderful golden aged patina with some light copper oxidization inside, and the look and feel of great antiquity.

A padded striker and double-ended teak and suede ringer are included in the price.
